A fictional account of the idea, planning, and successful execution of the perfect murder set in the mountains outside Juneau, Alaska. How the wrongly accused fall guy stumbles onto the scene, is interrogated, indicted, and tried makes for page turning reading with surprising twists.
The hero in this tale describes his adventure that starts as a beat cop in the busy streets of San Francisco and ends in the almost inaccessible mountain and ice field ringed capital city in the vastness and wilderness of Alaska.
The reader is first introduced to the excitement to follow as John Santori and his family fly into one of America’s most dangerously situated airports – where the pilot of the large commercial jetliner must change direction only a scant few hundred yards from touchdown.
Santori explains his decision to leave the comfortable suburban California life, his short exploratory visit into the unknown, the temporary work he obtains in a field so foreign to his own, and his eventual return to law enforcement as an officer in the Juneau Police Department. There he is swept into a seemingly unending murder scene that starts out as a simple accidental hunting death investigation.
